THE LEAF IN AUTUMN
This project speaks of pain, impotence, fear, and disappointment. It speaks of hope, effort, growth, learning, understanding, and love. LOTS OF LOVE (in capital letters).
Without even knowing it, in 2009 this project was born with the worst news of my life: my mother suffering from cancer with a life expectancy of 4 years.
The pain is unbearable and incomprehensible by anyone. I am afraid to lose myself. Life has disappointed me. Conversations and silences with my siblings brings us closer and separates us at the same time. The purest, unique and exclusive feelings have diminished the sacred and intense places in my memory. It surprised me.
The photograph will be the witness that will show the outcome of a self-reflection process.
